Indian Embassy in Bogota, Colombia and Colombian Embassy in India are promoting the bilateral relations with multilateral issues such as tourism industry, trade, investment and commerce. Embassy of India is also promoting the cultural agreement of bi-national cultural program for the period 2007-2009 signed between Mr. Anand Sharma and Araújo Perdomo. It is also responsible for enhancing relations with Ecuador and Costa Rica. India and Colombia have friendly and cordial bilateral relations and coincidence of views on most of the global issues in the various multilateral fora. As per the future program of promoting the culture and tourism, Indian Embassy in Bogota, Colombia is organizing the cultural program sponsored by ICCR. There are centers of Sai Baba in Colombia and a number of spiritual groups such as ISCON, Brahma Kumaris, Nirmala Devi, Babaji Kripal Singh, Theosophical Society etc. Ayurveda is becoming popular in Colombia and some of the cultural institutions in this country are promoting its study amongst the interested section of the local population. Colombia is considered as one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the Western Hemisphere with perpetual snow to the beaches of the Caribbean and many more.
