Relations between Indian Embassy in Houston, USA and Houston Embassy in India are very old. The leaders of the two largest democracies in the world strengthen the relations between India and USA when the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and President George W. Bush indicate the level of transformation in India-U.S. relations. Both the Indian Embassy in Houston, USA and American Embassy in India have committed to promote the values of human freedom, rule of law, democracy, prosperity and peace throughout the world. In 2007, the first Quadrilateral Dialogue between India, the U.S., Japan and Australia was held. Students from India continue to flock to the U.S. and now it has become the number one country sending students to the U.S. with approximately 80,000 students each year, far surpassing China.
