Sector 17 is a pedestrian's paradise dotted with fountains, sculptures, and groves of trees. Sukhna Lake is an artificial dam on a seasonal stream. The Rock Garden is spread over 12 acres of wooded land near the Capitol Complex. Leisure Valley is like a garland of gardens. Other prominent and worth visiting gardens are the Garden of Tranquility, Garden of Rare Plants, Garden of Annuals, the Bougainvillea Garden, Botanical Garden, and the Garden of Aromatic Plants. Gandhi Bhavan Auditorium is in the Punjab University Complex. Famous Museums of Chandigarh are Government Museum and Art Gallery, and Museum of Evolution of Life.
