Day 01/ Arrival Delhi
Arrive Delhi - a city that has been wiped numerous times with new imperial cities sprouting accompanied by plunders of dynasties and rulers who fought battles just to conquer it as their pride and Glory. The city was born out of a complex past that defines the present state of its dynamism, beauty and ramifications. It is amazing to witness the coexistence of both the ancient and modern world in one city that showcases a diverse culture as well as traditional values and yet absorbing modern interventions making it worth exploring, be it the city in itself or the people enriched with variant characteristics. Meet with Culture Holidays representative at the arrival lounge & transfer to hotel. Night stay in Delhi.

Day 02/ Delhi sightseeing
Breakfast at hotel then proceed for sightseeing tour of New Delhi where ornate buildings recall the days when India was the Jewel in the crown of the British empire. Visit Humayun Tomb - The importance of Humayun's Tomb in the evolution of Mughal architecture is great. It is the first of a long series of dynastic tombs and innovative in a number of ways, notably by virtue of the fact that it introduced the garden tomb to the subcontinent. Qutab Minar - The tall minaret was constructed in 1192 by Qutab-ud-din Aibak, and later completed by his successor Iltutmish. The soaring conical tower is an exquisite example of Indo-Islamic Afghan architecture. Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India, A Rickshaw ride in Mughal emperor Shah Jahan's Shahjahanabad city (old Delhi) is one of the prime attractions of Delhi. India Gate, and the Grand Government Buildings, the President’s House. Mahatama Gandhi Memorial or Raj Ghat - the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi is one of the most visited sites in Delhi. It consists of a simple square black-marble platform that stands on the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. Nearby, there are cremation sites of Jawaharlal Nehru - the first Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, Sanjay Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. Also visit Laxmi Narayan Temple popularly known as Birla Temple - Birla temple patronized by Mahatma Gandhi, who inaugurated this temple in 1938 after Raja Baldev Birla constructed it, is dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi. It is close to Connaught Place and is frequented by many devotees regularly. The temple was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi on the condition that people of all strata of society be allowed to offer prayers there on account of the large scale prevalence of untouchability at that time. Day 03/ Delhi – Haridwar ( By air-conditioned train Dep 0650hrs Arrv 1125hrs )
Early morning pick up from hotel & transfer to railway station to board the superfast air-conditioned train to Haridwar.Yoga and Golden Triangle Breakfast in the train. Arrive Haridwar & transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit various temples including Pareshwar Mahadev Temple, Daksha Mahadev Temple and Mansa Devi Temple. Evening visit Har-ki-Pauri (the footstep of God)- one of the most sacred ghats in India. People say that this ghat was built by Vikramaditya in memory of his brother Bhartrihari. This ghat is also known as Brahmakund. Later witness Aarti of the Holy River Ganges. Aarti is the beautiful ceremony in which deeyas (the oil lamps) are offered to God. Aarti can be done to a deity in the temple or it can be done to a saint. It is performed to God, in any manifestation, any form, by any name. The essence of the aarti ceremony is a time when we say "thank you," and we offer the light of our thanks, the light of our love and the light of our devotion. We realize that the small deeya is nothing compared to the divine light which shines on us all day. Night stay in Haridwar.

Day 04/Haridwar - Rishikesh ( By road approx 25kms/45 minutes drive)
Morning drive to Rishikesh- also known as the 'place of sages', at the confluence of the Chandrabhaga and Ganga. It is believed that God by the name of 'Rishikesh' had appeared as an answer to the hard penances by Rabhiya Rishi and henceforth the place derived its name. It is the starting point for the Char dham pilgrims but also for the people who are interested in meditation, yoga and other aspects of Hinduism. Arrive & transfer to Ashram. Later proceed to visit Laxman Jhula- a hanging bridge on the river Ganga is one of the most famous spot in Rishikesh. According to Indian mythology, Lakshman, the younger brother of Lord Rama crossed the Ganga with the help of hanging bridge made of Jute. The bridge offers a scenic view of the river Ganga as it tumbles down to Haridwar. Also visit Bharat Mandir - the oldest temple in Rishikesh, near the Triveni Ghat. This temple is dedicated to Bharat, the younger brother of Lord Ram. Night stay in Rishikesh.

Day 05/ Rishikesh

Day 10 /Rishikesh – Haridwar ( By road approx 25kms/45 minutes drive) Haridwar – Delhi ( By air-conditioned train Dep 0622hrs Arrv 1115hrs )
Early morning pick up from your Ashram & transfer to Haridwar railway station to board train to Delhi. Arrive at New Delhi railway station & transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Night stay in Delhi.

Day 11/ Delhi – Agra ( By road approx 210kms/04hrs drive)Yoga Tour Golden Triangle
Breakfast at hotel then drive to Agra. Arrive & transfer to hotel before that you can visit Sikandra -It is home to Akbar's tomb.This grand monument was started by Akbar and completed by his son Jahangir. The mausoleum was started by Akbar in the Spartan style of Timurid architecture. Akbar's son Jahangir added more decorative designs to the mausoleum. Later proceed to visit the Agra Fort - the rusty and majestic red-sandstone fort of Agra stands on the banks of the river Yamuna and the construction was started by Emperor Akbar in 1566. The Agra Fort, also known as the “Lal –Qila”, “Fort Rouge” or “Qila-i-Akbari”, is the highlight of the city of Agra, then capital of the Mughal Sultanate. Evening at sunset visit the magnificent Taj Mahal - one of the seven wonders of the world surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men laboured for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan's beloved wife. Night stay in Agra.

Day 12/ Agra - Jaipur ( By road approx 235kms/04hrs drive ) enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri
Breakfast at hotel then drive to Jaipur also popular as pink city - the fabled “pink city” of the desert named after Jai Singh,the former Maharaja of Jaipur. This is the only city in the world symbolizing the nine divisions of the universe through the nine rectangular sectors subdividing it. Enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri - a perfectly preserved red sandstone “ghost town” which was the estranged capital of Mughal emperor Akbar, built in 1569 and deserted when its water supply failed. Evening visit Chokhi Dhani, an ethnic village. It is one its own kind, each of the detailed work in the village tells you about the culture and tradition of Rajasthan. It could be Camel Rides, Elephant Rides, Tonga Rides, Bullock Cart Rides, Bow n Arrows, Turbans or Food, it will make you feel a KING. Dinner ( at your own ) and cultural program will be organized for you at Chokhi Dhani. Night stay in Jaipur.

Day 13/ Jaipur sightseeing - Delhi ( By road approx 270kms/05hrs drive ) Yoga Tour Golden Triangle
After breakfast check-out from hotel & proceed to visit the majestic Amber Fort - Amber is the classic romantic Rajasthani fort palace. Its construction was started by Man Singh I in 1592, and completed by his descendent Jai Singh I. Its forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise where a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles finds it's ultimate expression. Ride up on Elephants to the former capital of the royals set against the backdrop of the wooded hills. Continue sightseeing visiting City Palace - A delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture, the City Palace sprawls over one-seventh of the area in the walled city. It houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum. Jantar Mantar - This is the largest and the best preserved of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II in different parts of the country. This observatory consisting of outsized astronomical instruments is still in use. Hawa Mahal - The ornamental facade of this "Palace of Winds" is a prominent landmark in Jaipur. Their five-storey structures of sandstone plastered pink encrusted with fine trelliswork and elaborate balconies. The palace has 953 niches and windows. Built in 1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a royal grandstand for the palace women. Later drive back to Delhi. Arrive & transfer to hotel. Night stay in Delhi.

*** The driving hours given above from one city to another are based on the normal conditions of the roads and may vary. Any break for Food / Tea / Toilets / Sightseeing on the way will take extra time than the above given hours.

*** The elephants are limited in number for the elephant ride at Amber Fort in Jaipur; hence there could be a long waiting at times. In case of non availability of elephants at Amber Fort we shall provide the jeeps to reach the fort.

*** Ashram rooms retain the divine simplicity of ashram life, while being equipped with the necessary modern amenities. Rooms have 2 twin beds, fans with coolers; private, attached bathrooms with hot / cold running water and western or Indian style toilets. Bed sheets, blankets and pillow covers, towels, etc. are provided.

*** All pilgrims (both men and women) are required to dress modestly and soberly, in a way that shows respect for the tradition of ashram life. We request that no shorts, sleeveless shirts, or other revealing clothing are worn.
If your not dress up appropriately then they will not be allowed to participate in the yoga classes, Ganga Havan or Aarti.
