Great Himalayan National Park is one of the new established national parks also known as Jawaharlal Nehru National Park situated in the Seraj Forest Division of Kullu District in Himachal Pradesh. The Park is carved out of the splendid mountain terrain of the Kullu district famous in the world for its rare variety of “Western Tragopan”, 200 species of birds and over 30 species of mammals. The Himalayan Park is centre of attraction round the year for its alpine meadows carpeted with flowers, snow-capped peaks and glaciers provide a breathtaking panorama. In 1984, the park became the Great Himalayan National Park comprising of Jiwa, Sainj and Tirthan Rivers.

This park is located at distance of the 60 Kms from Kullu one of the famous districts of Himachal Pradesh nestled in the lush coniferous forests, emerald meadows, soaring snowy peaks and pristine glaciers. The Himalaya is itself attracted the tourists from all over the world for its awesome which is the largest, tallest and geographically youngest mountains on the planet. Air: The airport at Bhuntar is 10-km from Kullu, where taxis and buses are available.
Rail: The closest narrow gauge railhead is at Jogindernagar, 95-km from Kullu.
Road: The park is well connected by the network of roadways from where Aut is 45 Km from Mandi and 30 Km from Kullu.
