After you arrive at the Delhi airport, our representative will welcome you in the traditional Indian way by a flower garland & tilak on your forehead.In India we call this "Atthi Devo Bhava" which means "The guest is equivalent to God".
Flower garlands are generally offered as a mark of respect and honour. They are offered to welcome the visitors or in honour of Gods and Goddesses.
Tilak is a ritual mark on the forehead. It can be put in many forms as a sign of blessing, greeting or auspiciousness. The Tilak is usually made out of a red vermilion paste (kumkum) which is a mixture of turmeric, alum, iodine, camphor, etc.
Then you will be transferred to hotel followed by your check-in. and night stay in Delhi.
After breakfast you will start New Delhi & Old Delhi tour. Our representative will wait in the hotel lobby to explain the day program and introduce with local guide for Delhi sightseeing.
OLD DELHI - A sight-seeing tour of Old Delhi would entail visiting the Raj Ghat - the memorial site where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated, Jama Masjid - the largest mosque in India and Red Fort which was the residence of the Mughal emperors for nearly 200 years. You will enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk. Mamifestations of that historic time that once existed in old Delhi can be seen here in the labyrinthine lanes of Chandni Chowk in a rickshaw. The pleasure of the rickshaw ride in your itinerary here will be unmatchble. The rickshaw pullers will take you on a ride through various routes, offering you a different experience all together.
NEW DELHI - An extensive sight-seeing tour of New Delhi would include a visit to the Bangla Sahib which is a sacrosanct worship place for Sikhs, the Qutub Minar which is the tallest brick minaret in the world and a drive along the ceremonial avenue - Rajpath, past the imposing India Gate, Parliament House, and the President's Residence. This excursion will end with a drive through the Diplomatic Enclave. Then, night stay in Delhi.
After breakfast you will be picked up from hotel and drove straight to Agra. On arrival to Agra you will be transfer to your hotel for check in. After check in start sightseeing in Agra. Start your sightseeing with visiting magnificent Taj Mahal - one of the Seven Wonders of the World surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men laboured for over 17 years to build this memorial for Shah Jahan's beloved wife.
Later visit Agra fort - the rusty and majestic red-sandstone fort of Agra stands on the banks of the river Yamuna, its construction was started by Emperor Akbar in 1566. At the Diwan-I-Khas (hall of private audience) where marble pavilions with floral inlays lend an ethereal ambience, the Emperor sat on his gem-studded Peacock Throne and met foreign ambassadors and rulers of friendly kingdoms.
After sightseeing you will have a free to time do shopping in local markets of Agra or you can do leisure while taking your rest for the day.
After breakfast you will drive to Jaipur-the fabled "pink city" of the desert named after Jai Singh, the former Maharaja of Jaipur. This is the only city in the world symbolizing the nine divisions of the universe through the nine rectangular sectors subdividing it. The palaces and forts of the yesteryears, which were the witnesses to the royal processions and splendours are now living monuments, en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri a perfectly preserved red sandstone "ghost town" which was the estranged capital of Mughal emperor Akbar, built in 1569 and deserted when its water supply failed.
Also visit Abhaneri which is on the way to Jaipur. Abhaneri, is a small-town village near Agra. The place is popular for its amazing 'Baori' (step wells) and Harshad Mata Temple. After that drive straight to Jaipur. Check-in into hotel, followed by leisure for the rest of the day. Stay at night in Jaipur.
After breakfast you will proceed to an excursion to Amber Fort. Elephant ride ascent to the fort.
AMBER FORT PALACE - Amber is the classic romantic Rajasthani fort palace. Its construction was started in 1592, its forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise where a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles finds its ultimate expression. Continue sight-seeing.
GALTA JI TEMPLE - These temples are a popular tourist attraction as they are home to a large colony of monkeys and this has given rise to the common name of the complex, the monkey temple. Galtaji, Jaipur is a unique Hindu temple as it is centre around a natural spring that has been channel to fill seven large pools. In these pools pilgrims come to bath away their sins while, at quiet moments, the playful monkeys can be found swimming in the holy waters.
JANTAR MANTAR - This is the largest and the best preserved of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II in different parts of the country. This observatory consists of outsized astronomical instruments which are still in use.
HAWA MAHAL - The ornamental facade of this "Palace of Winds" is a prominent landmark in Jaipur. Their five-storey structures of sandstone plastered pink encrusted with fine trelliswork and elaborate balconies. The palace has 953 niches and windows. Built in 1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a royal grandstand for the palace women. After sightseeing you can do shopping in local markets in Jaipur or leisure on rest day. Stay at night in Jaipur.
After breakfast drive straight to Delhi. Arrive Delhi and transfer to hotel. Rest day on leisure. Stay at night in Delhi.
Morning transfer to airport for boarding your onward flight. End of trip.
